Calgary

At some point in 2012, probably December, my ISP, TekSavvy, changed my IP address to a Calgary-based block even though I live in Vancouver. They assure me a computer decided this, and this can't be changed. Here are the problems (very minor, but still irritating) this causes:

• • Foursquare defaults searches from their website to Calgary

  • Searching in Google for businesses shows me the map for Calgary, not Vancouver

  • Using SpeedTest.net, the app defaults to Salmon Arm. (What?)
